Text Cleaner
Remove extra spaces, blank lines and duplicate lines in one click.
Messy text, fixed instantly
Text copied from PDFs, emails or chat apps often arrives full of double spaces, stray line breaks and repeated lines. Fixing it by hand wastes time and always misses something — this tool solves it in one click.
Everything runs in your browser: remove extra spaces, delete blank lines, drop duplicate lines, or join all lines into a single paragraph. Combine the operations in any order — your text never leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
Can I apply several cleanups at once?
Yes — each button transforms the text currently in the box, so you can chain them in any order. A common sequence for pasted text is: remove extra spaces, then remove blank lines, then remove duplicate lines.
How do I clean up text copied from a PDF?
PDF copies usually break every visual line into its own line. Use "Join line breaks" to merge everything into one paragraph, then "Remove extra spaces" to collapse the double spaces that PDFs tend to leave behind.
Does removing duplicate lines keep the first or last copy?
The first occurrence stays and later repeats are dropped, so the original order of your list is preserved. Comparison ignores leading and trailing whitespace, so two lines that differ only in indentation count as duplicates.
Is there an undo?
Use your browser's undo — Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac) with the cursor in the text box steps back through the changes. Nothing is stored on our side, and reloading the page clears the box entirely.
